instaMek’s story began over a year ago when our co-founders, Asem Alsaadi and Uzair Ahmed recognized obvious problems in the traditional automotive repair industry, including inconvenience, expensive towing and repair bills, and a lack of trust among consumers. When Uzair’s mom ran into car trouble at home, she faced many challenges while trying to get her car repaired. She tried hiring mechanics through online classified ads, but they never showed up. Exasperated and left without a choice, she ended up getting the car towed, which resulted in an expensive towing and repair bill, along with a lot of wasted time.
